Who Is The Author Of Our World
What is divine will? It seems that when adversity strikes in the world or in our personal lives, we tend to believe that its divine will or fate, but hardly ever do we take 100% personal or collective responsibility for it. How many of us ‘know’ without one doubt that this entire world of consistent impermanence is not a creation of God? That it is instead, a dream of separation that we’re having? The Creator is all Love and eternal with no inconsistencies however our world is chock full of inconsistencies, endings, and lack of love. We just have to look at the birth and death cycle for a perfect example. How, in our wildest imagin ings, could we think that an eternally Loving Creator who never vacillates, would ever condone let alone create death, disease and suffering?
If this random world of chaos is a creation of God, then we have a few things to be really fearful of, namely: *God; Why? Because He must allow punishment, sacrifice and suffering in this world. *Others; Why? We should be on the look-out for abandonment and betrayal by others. *Life; Why? We need to protect ourselves from harm because we’re limited and vulnerable and governed by the laws of scarcity and random chaos. * And Everything in Between; Why? We need to ‘acquire’ things and ‘become’ somebody to give us a sense of identity and accomplishment because if we don’t we’ll have an empty life.
The bottom line in a world made by such an inconsistent god would be; that we’re all separate and alone meaning we need to judge, attack and defend as well as control outcomes in order to survive. Secondly, in order to survive we have to ‘get’. Get money, love, an education, attention, praise or get to be right.
If The Creator is consistent and all encompassing eternal Love with absolutely no deviation, then what exactly is our reality and who made it? It’s obvious that the divine is not the author of our world. We are. There is no evil force outside us, because there is simply no-thing greater than God. We think we have millions of earthly problems ranging from the personal to the collective, but they are all manifestations of just one mistake; the ego.
The ego, having chosen to separate and be the author of its own reality, just has to be fearful of God, of others, and of life while stressing out over scarcity or the acquisition of things or status. It created itself as what we perceive as personality, beliefs and body. It sees everything and everyone as separate and has no idea of our True Identity under its distorted perception. The ego, projecting its reality unconsciously, will perceive all manner of problems and swear that they are real! In fact its hidden beliefs are so powerful that they end up being materialized as illusion seeming real. For example, we may have a history of relationship problems or scarcity experiences however they all emerge from the ego’s unconscious beliefs. To attempt to solve these problems externally ie, a new relationship or a money making opportunity will not solve the issue permanently. Why? Because the ego’s premise is “seek and never find”. To remedy the cause of these problems, we need to initiate the ego-release process other wise they just keep re-appearing in other forms life-time after life-time.
We are all infinite expressions of the one sacred Being and while we might know this intellectually, very few of us live it on a day to day basis. That’s because the healing journey seems so confusing and inconsistent. We’re OK when we are in the flow while synchronicity is mirroring that we’re doing fine, but when seeming chaos occurs, we revert back to the ego’s coping mechanism: fear, control, doubt and escape. To discover who we really are and what our purpose is, we must first commit to undoing the ego’s belief system. If we truly want to change our lives for the better, we need to look at the only adversary in the world, the ego.
At every point in our lives that a crisis occurs like a death, relationship break-up, betrayal or abandonment, you can be sure that it’s a calling to ‘wake-up’. It is an opportunity to re-frame the whole experience and ask for it to be a catalyst to release us from the limitation of the ego’s belief system. In fact one of the signs that can herald the initial onset of the ego-release process is the experience of crisis of some kind. Often, it takes a good size wake-up call to snap us out of eons of ego-sleep.
When the ego has been released and the Unified Self takes over, we learn that we’re in harmony with life. Our life becomes a magnificent reflection of the inner harmony we live by, day to day. We are no longer fearful of God [ punishment, sacrifice or suffering] because we finally recognize that this all Loving Being wants only joy for us and that all suffering is caused by ego. We trust others and know that we can never be betrayed or abandoned. We don’t need to worry about protecting ourselves anymore because this fear has been replaced with a deep inner security. Along with this peace we relinquish the dysfunctional need to judge, attack, defend and control. We finally understand that everything we give like acceptance, forgiveness, our time, and our love, we receive. The universal law of Love shows us that all giving is receiving and anything we try to keep, we’ll lose. Contrary to what the ego believes, the way to keep anything of value is to share it. We learn that whatever we previously expected and tried to get from others, we now eagerly give to others, because we finally see that the secret to increasing joy in life is in giving and not in getting. And lastly, we’re elated to find that we don’t need to be attached to outcomes or try to control them in order to feel special and safe. We know without a shadow of doubt exactly ‘who’ we are and are thrilled at the discovery of the majestic purpose that we were born to fulfill!
